● Ownership models
Built once. Owned your way.
Most studios give you one option. You get three, depending on whether you want to resell it, own it outright, or pay less and share it. We agree the model in writing before any work starts.
- Best for
- Agencies, consultants, IT providers, and resellers who want a finished product to put their own name on.
- How it works
- I build it; it ships with your name, logo, and domain. Your clients never see Studio Labs. You set your own price and keep the client relationship.
- After launch
- I can stay on as the invisible maintenance partner, or hand everything to your team.
- Agreed up front
- Wholesale price or revenue share, confidentiality, and who supports your end clients.
- Best for
- Anyone with a competitive edge to protect: a unique process, a new product, a proprietary workflow.
- How it works
- Built only for you. The code, design, accounts, domain, and data belong to you outright. I never resell it, reuse it, or show its private internals.
- After launch
- Optional management plan, or take it in-house. Portfolio display only with your permission.
- Agreed up front
- Full transfer of rights on final payment.

Questions people ask.
Can I switch from shared to private later?
Yes. A buy-out to a private build is priced as the difference between the two, agreed in writing, so you never pay twice for the same work.
Who owns my customer data?
You do, in every model. Shared builds keep each customer's data separate, and it's never visible to other licensees.
Will my competitor get the same thing?
With a private build, never. With a shared build, possibly. That's why it costs less. Ask about local or industry exclusivity for a set period.
Is this in a contract?
Yes. Every project starts with a short written agreement naming the model, the price, and who owns what. Nothing starts on a handshake.
Not sure which one fits?
Pick "Not sure yet" on the project form and I'll recommend one after we talk.
Not sure which model? Ask.
Describe the project and I'll recommend the ownership model that fits your budget and goals.
